Synthetic Vision and AOA on the Aspen
Note the Crosswind depicted on the Aspen display as "46/26" and the arrow pointing in the direction of the wind. This was a 26 kt crosswind coming out of 046°. Autopilot had no problem tracking the ILS.
Rather than land on 32, elected instead to perform a circle to land on Rwy 5 at KCRG given the significant crosswind.
Circle to Land on Runway 5
Note the AOA indicator. See:
https://aspenavionics.com/aoa to learn more about the benefits of AOA and how Aspen Avionics implemented this feature.
